I am proud to serve as principal of Bay Park Elementary. Our work starts with knowing our students and building a school where they feel that they belong.
We hold high expectations for learning while paying attention to the social and emotional side of school. Students bring different experiences, strengths, questions, and ideas with them every day. Those things belong in the life of the school.
Community
Our community is our strength.
Families are partners in the work of a school. I want families to feel welcome, to know where to ask questions, and to see that their knowledge of their children matters.
The same is true for staff and students. Shared leadership means people have a voice in the school they are part of, and that we take responsibility for the community together.

A lifelong connection to San Diego public schools.
I attended La Jolla Elementary, Muirlands Middle School, and La Jolla High School. I later returned to La Jolla Elementary to teach fifth grade. That history is part of why serving students and families in this district means so much to me.
